THE GOAT Ruled by Saturn Feminine, Negative, Cardinal Earth Sign |
The sea-goat sign of Capricorn primarily represents
social foundations, authority, perfection, and respect. As a cardinal
earth sign, common sense will be dear to you. Any practical skill will
be developed through your own readings and conversations, rather than
through formal tuition. You use your natural caution when
experimenting with and realising the things you have heard, seen, or
experienced. There is usually no desire to study for the sake of
studying. You feel a strong need to be busy and to accomplish great
feats, to take on special responsibilities, and to acquire practical
material possessions. The aforementioned needs will make themselves
strongly felt whether you find yourself working in business, politics,
or in a social or intellectual area. A special intuition will help you
in your struggle for independence and the fulfillment of your economic
needs. Financial independence is important due to a fear of being
without the necessities. You will never be content with living a
hand-to-mouth existence or with being in any kind of debt.
Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn, and thus you may have a tendency to
seek social approval and will want to maintain a good reputation. You
may feel restricted, sentimental, lonely and melancholy. You are a
sensitive being and feel a strong need for recognition. You demand
loyalty, but may not easily give it in return. Although imbued with a
strongly reserved nature, you do not normally worry. However, when you
do it comes from a tendency to allow the most irrelevant thought or
activity to grow like a pessimistic cancer throughout your mind. It is
important to plug any cracks in your psyche to prevent this growth of
anxiety.
You are tenacious and down to earth, with a liking for structure and
justice, and you believe firmly that an order is to be followed. An
adept problem solver, you will always find a solution for even the
most difficult dilemma. You are organised and methodical but may show
a tendency to become a bit of a dragon at home. This is because you
feel that your home must be well-organised and function perfectly.
You are ambitious and seek out positions of authority or leadership.
If the Sun and Saturn are well aspected, your self-confidence is
strong but with a realistic and cautious focus. The attainment of high
goals can be a constant struggle if you do not learn to side-step some
of the obstacles you encounter, rather than meeting every one of them
head on. You are prepared to work hard, and you realise that success
will lead to the fulfillment of your material desires. Your plans and
efforts to reach these goals are well-structured because there is a
feeling that the universe owes you something. Material things are very
important to you and because Capricorn is associated with longevity,
you fear becoming dependent on others in old age. Others may mistake
your longing for security as greed or feel you are a miser. If you
were healthy as a child you may well live to a great age. There is
often much responsibility demanded of you at a young age, but in later
years there is a tendency to return to youthful pursuits.
