THE CRAB Ruled by The Moon Feminine, Negative, Cardinal Water Sign
|
The water sign of Cancer (the Crab) implies a
sensitive, intuitive, tenacious, and parental nature. It can also
represent a moody, worrywart type of individual. Of all the signs, it
exerts the greatest influence on culture, the home, and family. Ruled
by the Moon, your emotions are very complex. You can give the
impression of being a pillar of strength at one moment and that of
being very vulnerable and overly emotional the next. Over-sensitivity
usually results in a fear of being ridiculed. Accordingly, most
Cancerians, hide such vulnerability by placing a hard shell around
themselves--just as the Crab has a physical shell. Very few people
manage to lift this shell. To protect yourself from injury in this
area, you may voluntarily go into isolation at times. This isolation
may conflict with your need for a warm home life with certain people
close to you. For you, a sense of wholeness or completeness in life
can only come when you are able to live out your protective instinct
for those around you.
Your highly developed drive to attain personal security will clearly
influence your material and domestic structure so as to provide that
security and stability. The fact that Cancer is a cardinal sign allows
you to be quite enterprising in either commercial or domestic
activities. For some, an inherent nurturing instinct also extends to
ideas and projects that involve some form of development. Many nurses
often have a healthy dose of Cancerian energy in their chart.
Your diplomatic talents are admirable, often enabling you to achieve
what you want. However, when you think someone is treading on your
toes, you may act quite illogically and be unable to cooperate with
others. Security is very important to you, and you are prepared to go
to any lengths to attain it. When the maintenance of this security
requires a risk to be taken, you will do so--but preferably with
someone else's money! In such cases, however, your strong sense of
responsibility will ensure that you proceed with the utmost caution.
Your heart is really in the right place, but the influence of a ruling
Moon in this sign can make you seem affectionate and open at one
moment and yet sentimental, reserved, and withdrawn the next.
Depending on the house and sign in which the Moon resides, you can be
extremely naive and stubborn.
Family tradition and history are quite important. You like the place
you call home, probably having a good memory for the events that took
place there long ago. If you are too sentimental and touchy, it is
likely that you are also clannish. Try to be aware that any negative
traits you exhibit are often the result of your essential needs not
being accommodated. Try to nurture your own growth, so as to set the
pace to expand outwards.

Below, in the music world, find out who shares a birthday with you.
